We want to live up to the “E” for successful in our company name ISE Language and Vocational Training Center. Therefore, work-related discussions take place regularly as part of the internal training and further education measures in order to find participant-oriented working methods together in the working group. The individual course participant should be the focus of the lessons at the ISE Language and Vocational Training Center.
Below are three teaching methods that we want to use successfully in adult education:
1. Discovery learning
The lecturer is not intended to lecture; the participants are involved in the classroom to find results, solutions, formulations and working techniques themselves.
2. The dialogic learning process
It is intended to challenge the participant to apply previous knowledge in a targeted manner. Thanks to the participants' different prior knowledge in adult education, tasks in open assignments can be approached and solved differently. Technical and social skills are implicitly trained. The feedback allows a change of perspective through the simple question: “How did you do that?”
3. Teach each other something
Teaching through learning is ideal for participant-oriented teaching. Men and women come into adult education with different first jobs, experience has shown, with different skills and can teach others, but also themselves, something. Promoting and deepening key qualifications such as independence, the ability to work in a team, flexibility and creativity go hand in hand in this lesson.
The conclusion of this round of discussions is that thematically oriented, questioning and debating classroom discussions lead to an “E” – for success.
