Driving license for the second professional life

On the mountain. (usc). The recognition for excellent training at the ISE Language and Vocational Training Center came from a competent source. “I am used to good and very good exam results being achieved at the ISE. It’s great that we have this facility,” emphasized Karl-Heinz Lex, training advisor at the IHK Regensburg for commercial professions, when handing out certificates to eight retrainees. After two years of retraining, you received recognition as a warehouse logistics specialist at the ISE Language and Vocational Training Center.

Lex called the qualification he acquired a “driving license for a second professional life”. According to him, logistics is very important in the region. The career prospects are therefore very good. In addition to the technical expertise at ISE, Lex particularly emphasized the familiar learning atmosphere. According to Lex, the eight participants with an average age of 37.4 years, including two women, completed the course with a grade point average of 2.0. The course best with an overall grade of 1 was Igor Oskolkov from Amberg. The graduates have good opportunities for advancement, up to logistics master and university studies. Lex also acknowledged the very good network that exists here with the Amberg employment agency.

Franz Elsner, head of the employment agency in Amberg, assured the agency's help in finding jobs if the graduates do not already have firm commitments. This profession is in high demand, emphasized Elsner. According to him, participants came not only from the Amberg-Sulzbach region but also from Weiden, Bayreuth and Schwandorf.

Elsner was pleased to note that the number of unemployed people in his district was still declining and at the same time pointed out the increasing problem of finding suitable skilled workers in the economy. Elsner attributed the very good performance in this retraining measure to the commitment of the teachers and supervisors at ISE. “There is hardly any educational institution that has such good caretakers,” he stated appreciatively and praised the intensive support and family welcome at ISE. A special future requirement for job placement is the integration of refugees and asylum seekers. There are already good individual examples of this in the agency.

The employment agency team leader, Manuela Luber, is also optimistic about the chances of reintegration for the ISE graduates. “The group was an absolute no-brainer,” assured Angelika Leitgeb, employment agent and course supervisor. Excellent foundations have been created here at ISE.

“The effort of retraining was worth it,” said ISE managing director Peter Blendowski, who, in his review, spoke of the course participants’ initial skepticism. “Such degrees also provide motivation to continue,” he said encouragingly to the graduates.

The retraining included imparting specialist knowledge in the examination subjects of logistical processes, quality assurance and rational goods handling as well as economics and social studies. In addition, the participants were able to complete forklift training right at the start of the training and implement their knowledge in this logistics company in the form of practical training days at the logistics service provider Loxxess (Schafhof II industrial area). In two internship periods lasting a total of approximately 5.5 months, the participants were able to test, deepen and implement the theoretical knowledge they had acquired in practice.
