Amberg – The ISE language and vocational training center can now look back on 25 successful years in adult education. Such an anniversary is a worthy occasion for a ceremonial celebration. The ceremony took place in the Amberg-Sulzbach district office (König-Ruprecht-Saal) with numerous guests from business, politics and public life as well as with former course participants. The social commitment in society, in addition to the competent educational work and outreach work, was highly praised from all sides.
The success story of the ISE Language and Vocational Training Center began in 1989 in the Frommstr. 36 in Sulzbach-Rosenberg. The language school, which was founded at the time as an institute for language and enculturation, had the firm goal of enabling participants to integrate into society in addition to imparting German language skills. The then founder Walter Ringer, together with managing director Peter Blendowski, tried to support the language course participants from Eastern Europe almost around the clock with all formal applications and private and language problems after they moved to the Federal Republic of Germany.
The current managing directors of the ISE language and vocational training center, Peter Blendowski and Eva Weber, can proudly look back on the further development of the school's operations. Hardly anyone would have thought back then that the regional language school would later blossom into a very respected, modern and national language and vocational training center. Around 17,000 course and seminar participants and retrainees can now look back on successful qualifications in a wide range of disciplines. The ISE language and vocational training center carries out retraining in the training professions of warehouse logistics specialist, freight forwarding and logistics services clerk, insurance, IT, wholesale and foreign trade clerk. A variety of qualifications in the commercial area such as accounting and SAP courses and in nursing and housekeeping are part of the ISE repertoire, as are coaching measures and company training. For the ISE workforce - which primarily includes lecturers, coaches and supervisors - it is a great enrichment if the course participants are successfully guided to a vocational qualification and thereby increase their chances on the job market or take up employment immediately after their qualification can. The specialist and key qualifications imparted also pay off for the course participants and improve their personal profile during application activities.
The ISE language and vocational training center also operates an in-house job placement service and maintains extensive, close contacts with companies in the regional and national area. The wide range of offers is now aimed at all customers of the employment agency, the job center, the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees, graduates of general schools and all employers and employees in the regional economy.
It should not be forgotten that the ISE Sprach- und Berufsbildungszentrum GmbH made intensive efforts to counteract this misery with advice and action due to the nursing shortage prevailing in Germany. In the subsidiary ISE Vocational School for Geriatric Care and Geriatric Care Assistance (also at the company headquarters at Kaiser-Ludwig-Ring 9 in Amberg), professional qualifications in the training professions of state-certified geriatric nurse and state-certified nursing assistant can be acquired. Further qualifications in the nursing and housekeeping sectors are also offered. Nursing and retirement homes in the region appreciate the high quality of education at ISE - if there is a need for staff or a shortage, they are happy to rely on the trained specialists at ISE.
Success is more than just a number!
Peter Blendowski's speech about the beginnings of the ISE and the social streak of the founder Walter Ringer was followed very attentively by the guests, the (former) course participants and the ISE employees in the beautiful ambience of the König-Ruprecht-Saal in the district office. Peter Blendowski reported on the founding ideas and ideals: “We understood that our protégés not only needed the German language, but also support in everyday life situations. Our teachers took on the father-mother role in the courses. The administration and teaching staff took care of handling the numerous administrative requirements.”
Little by little - as Peter Blendowski continued - the spectrum of the ISE expanded to include job-related courses. He thanked the clients such as the Amberg and Sulzbach-Rosenberg employment agency, the Amberg-Sulzbach job center, the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees in Zirndorf and the many companies for the extremely good and trusting cooperation.
In the highly competitive, increasingly risky education market, the ISE language and vocational training center was able to hold its own despite economic ups and downs and maintain its “social face” to this day. The new areas such as computer science, warehouse logistics, foreign languages, nursing and job placement as well as the consistently exceptional work performance of the ISE employees have helped to set the necessary course for the future and to convince the participants with their professionally competent educational quality.
Managing director Peter Blendowski is happy about the personal success of the course participants at ISE, which is the focus of the company's educational work: "It is our greatest pleasure to see our satisfied graduates in factories, schools, social institutions, bus and transport companies, Logistics companies, old people's homes, hospitals, doctors' practices, public authorities can be found as employees, skilled workers and self-employed people after our measures.
Good cooperation helps other people. It has always been the aim of the ISE Language and Vocational Training Center to maintain good contacts with network partners. In this context, Peter Blendowski also highlighted the establishment of an educational network with Kolping Bildungswerk, the Eckert Schools, CDT in Nuremberg and the Transport Training Center (VAZ) Regensburg.
Good opportunities for graduates in the geriatric care sector
Roland Domogalla, managing director of the subsidiary ISE Vocational School for Geriatric Care and Geriatric Care Assistance, which was founded in 2009, presented the still young school, which began operations in 2010, in individual stages in his speech.
The beginnings weren't exactly easy due to legal hurdles and other regulations. That's why Roland Domogalla was even more pleased that this vocational school could help counteract the nursing shortage in Germany. Training courses in the professions of “state-certified geriatric nurse” and “state-certified nursing assistant” take place every year. Other qualifications such as B. to become a caregiver can be obtained. According to the Upper Palatinate government's examination procedure, the ISE vocational school is one of the state-approved schools. In the next few years - due to the good examination results - full state recognition of the ISE vocational school can be expected.
ISE – a magnificent tree with healthy roots and many branches
Managing director and partner Eva Weber vividly compared the history and development of the ISE with the growth of a tree.
In 1989 the language school and the little tree in Frommstr. were founded. 36 planted in Sulzbach-Rosenberg, followed by job-related measures in the new federal states (Annaberg-Buchholz, Erzgebirge) in the 1990s, which means that the little tree was able to gradually thrive. In 1996, the company was able to expand its offerings in Sulzbach-Rosenberg and Amberg to include IT and warehousing courses. The previously small tree has now become a small tree that has been able to develop well and healthily.
In 2000, a decisive step in the company's history took place: the original language school "Institute for Language and Enculturation" was renamed the more appropriate name ISE Sprach- und Berufsbildungszentrum GmbH due to the more extensive fields of activity as well as the increased structure and size. The healthy root system also helped the young tree to form new branches.
In the following years, the ISE included retraining as a new section in the course program. The first retraining was carried out in the training profession of freight forwarding clerk. Further retraining followed in the professions of insurance clerk, wholesale and foreign trade clerk, IT clerk and, last but not least, warehouse logistics specialist.
The thriving tree grew and grew. In 2005, the Private Employment Services division was added to the ISE Language and Vocational Training Center, which primarily helped people looking for work find employment and thus secure their long-term existence through concrete placement suggestions and intensive support work.
Also in 2005, approval was given to carry out integration courses for migrants. A close collaboration with the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees based in Zirndorf was established. This was accompanied by a close cooperation partnership with the Kolping Bildungswerk in Amberg in the area of integration courses. German exams have been held at the ISE language and vocational training center since this year (DTZ exam, levels A2 to B1). The ISE grew on and on like a very healthy tree…
2006 was another important milestone in the history of the ISE: the certification of the ISE by the TÜV Rheinland Group took place. Also this year, the ISE Language and Vocational Training Center was recognized as an official LCCI and ECDL training and testing center. This was followed in cooperation with the Control Data Training GmbH (Academy for Information Technology and Business) based in Nuremberg with the implementation of qualifications in the SAP area such as SAP R/3 clerk and accounting specialist CDT with DATEV, Lexware, SAP R/ 3.
The year 2008 can be called the “birthday” for the corporate and private training division. Since then, the ISE has offered, among other things, IT courses (also in-house), personality training/soft skills training, business seminars, language courses (individual or small group lessons), especially in business English, as well as retraining for company employees and private individuals.
In 2012 and 2013, ISE, as an expanding educational company, moved into additional premises at Kaiser-Ludwig-Ring 9. Since 2013, all ISE services have been offered from a one-stop location in the post office building (1st floor, right building).
The ISE has now put down firm roots. What was originally a small tree has now become a large tree with a solid root system, many fruitful branches and a few “offshoots”.
Much praise for efficient education and integration work
The ISE language and vocational training center received a lot of praise for its worthwhile educational and integration work from invited guests such as Mayor Rudolf Maier and Erwin Rohrer from the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees, who, among other things, attributed the above-average results of the ISE language course participants the German certificate exams. Gertraud Mertl from the district's immigration office and Edgar Schott from the city of Amberg also praised the ISE's good integration work, which starts with support in filling out applications.
Training consultant Karl-Heinz Lex from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry presented the ISE management team Peter Blendowski and Eva Weber with a certificate of honor for the company's anniversary from the chamber, of which the ISE is of course a member, and due to the various retraining courses, for their outstanding achievements over the last 25 years works together in the commercial area.
New opportunities and perspectives in work and in society
The organizers of the ISE anniversary did not miss the opportunity to allow former students to have their say in addition to the guest speakers. Nine previous participants from various qualifications, courses and retraining courses gladly accepted the offer and reported on their good experiences at ISE, the personal commitment of the lecturers in support and educational work. The specialist knowledge she acquired and the degrees she achieved were important milestones and turning points in her life. We look back fondly on the wonderful time, which involved learning but also a lot of joy.
Exchange of experiences and much more!
After the ceremony in the Sulzbach-Rosenberg district office, a bus transfer was organized for the guests to the Amberg headquarters of the language and vocational training center at Kaiser-Ludwig-Ring 9 (near the post office building). A snack awaited the guests, during which a lively exchange of experiences took place in a cozy atmosphere.
Many visitors immediately took advantage of the opportunity to personally inspect the classrooms and seminar rooms and their furnishings in the training facility and were amazed at the spacious layout and the friendly furnishings of the rooms.
