Training at ISE is also fun

Carina Luber
Carina Luber – trainee as an office clerk

The ISE Language and Vocational Training Center is very pleased to be able to introduce your trainees. Ms. Carina Luber (19 years old) is learning the profession of office clerk in the administration of the ISE language and vocational training center in Amberg. Many of you have probably already spoken to our employee on the phone or met her in person in our administration. We conducted a short interview with Carina – as she is called by all employees.

What was the deciding factor for you to become an office clerk? How long have you been studying at ISE?

Back in secondary school, I already had the dream of working in an office one day. That's why I successfully attended business school for four years. So I got the chance to start my training at the ISE Language and Vocational Training Center on September 15, 2009. My training as an office clerk officially ended on September 14, 2012.

What have you done before and what are your hobbies?

After I graduated from business school and before I started my training at the ISE Language and Vocational Training Center, I first worked in a bakery in the bakery and in a kitchen.

I don't really have any hobbies. For me it always depends on my mood what I feel like doing.
I do a lot with friends, be it a nice chat over coffee and cake or exploring the city at the weekend. I also play electric and acoustic guitar.

Do you feel comfortable at ISE and how do you find the working atmosphere? Can work also be fun?

I feel really comfortable at ISE. There is always a very friendly working atmosphere there.

What a question, of course I enjoy the work.

What are your main areas of responsibility? Do you get support from the other employees?

I answer calls and give people information or pass on information to colleagues. I also pass on incoming sick reports and also take care of some of the work-related correspondence.

So that we always have enough office supplies in stock, I keep a list and then reorder the items if necessary. Before new courses start, I prepare both the folders for administration and the documents for the participants. I also enter new participants into our internal ISE database or deregister them if they leave. Filing documents, invoices and course materials is also part of my tasks.

Of course, writing invoices is also a must.

If something is not clear to me or I have difficulties, I can always ask a colleague who will help me.

Would you recommend the ISE Language and Vocational Training Center as a training center?

Yes I would. There is always a lot to do here and you never get bored.

Are there any jobs or other things that annoy you during your training? What do you think could be improved?

At first, as I didn't know what I was doing, it naturally annoyed me a little that I couldn't do everything and had to ask about everything.

But things are going well now and I've settled in well.

what plans do you have for the future?

Well, of course I hope that I can stay at ISE for a while after my training.

Thank you for the interview
