Once again - namely on Friday, July 24th, 2015 - there was reason to be happy at the ISE Language and Vocational Training Center in Amberg. After many arduous weeks and months, the participants in the integration course were able to receive their certificates of successful completion. The course started on October 20, 2014 in the ISE premises at Kaiser-Ludwig-Ring 9 in Amberg. On May 30, 2015, an important stage had already been reached with the successful completion of the orientation test on the topic of Germany. Gabriele Stucke, who has been working as a German lecturer at the ISE Language and Vocational Training Center for decades, congratulated the large number of course participants on their good results. The achievements provided in the certificate demonstrate that the goal of the integration course has been achieved. This course prepared the migrants for life in Germany. Good cultural and social participation in the Federal Republic of Germany is only possible by learning the German language.
Mr. Schott from the immigration office of the city of Amberg pointed out that only good language skills can ensure success on the job market. Ms. Mertel from the immigration office of the Amberg-Sulzbach district emphasized the need to get to know the German legal system as a good basis for immigrants' life in Germany.
Course leader Johann Lengenfelder presented the certificates and congratulated the participants on their remarkable achievements. All participants have acquired the knowledge to be imparted and can now find their way around language in a wide variety of life situations. It was also a great enrichment for each participant to learn more about the peculiarities of the way of life in the countries of origin of their course colleagues. 23 participants from the countries of origin Poland, Afghanistan, Hungary, Romania, Russia, Ukraine, Serbia, USA, Brazil, Tunisia and the Philippines took the two tests. All 23 participants successfully completed and passed the orientation test. In the German exam, 17 participants reached the desired level B1; some even with the highest possible score. Having reached level A2, the remaining participants now have the right to demonstrate their language skills again after a three-month repetition course funded by the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees.
The integration course represents an extremely important step for all 23 participants towards integration into the new society in which they now live.
