Now people are spitting on their hands again...

The economic crisis was a while ago now. Even now we are still hearing positive signals from many quarters, even that the economy is running out of workers due to the large number of work orders. The head of the private employment agency at the ISE language and vocational training center, Helmut Albrecht, is also pleased about this positive development.

“Many applicants are finally finding an appropriate position. In particular, skilled workers such as warehouse workers, specialists in the warehouse and logistics sector, CNC millers and welders can be happy about the booming economy. Production assistants, as long as they are mobile and flexible, are also quickly accepted into an employment relationship subject to social insurance contributions.” Of course, Albrecht continues, due to the change in the labor market, it is also necessary to seriously consider the vacancies in temporary employment and temporary employment relationships. On the other hand, direct employment, especially at larger companies without prior fixed-term contracts, is less common, unless these are academic positions.

Speed is key

The employment agency, which is a separate division of the ISE Language and Vocational Training Center, has been able to offer employment to many applicants in recent months. Business is also becoming faster and faster, and the time factor plays an enormous role here. Albrecht gives the example of inquiries from temporary employment agencies that have to fill vacant positions as soon as possible, i.e. on the same or next working day. Here too it is said: If you wait too long, life will punish you.

As an interface between the regional and national economy on the one hand and those interested in jobs on the other, the ISE language and vocational training center sees itself as a service provider for both “parties”. In recent years, ISE has been able to attribute many of its successes in tailor-made placement of workers to its good market knowledge and know-how as a job broker. “Every interested party,” continued Albrecht, “is treated very individually at the ISE Language and Vocational Training Center.”

Unemployment increased slightly in the winter due to seasonal factors, but this can be attributed to the early and severe onset of winter. In the spring, employees and those willing to work can look forward to more offers. Times of overall economic expansion are also relatively good times for enforcing employee demands.

Of course, some of the downsides are still the deep-rooted memories of the financial crisis, which still prevents some entrepreneurs from making larger investments and hiring.
