All of our language course offerings are based on the GER (Common European Framework of Reference). This is divided into six levels of knowledge.
Level A1: The learner understands familiar everyday expressions and can read names on signs. In addition, the learner can enter personal data in forms and communication is possible in a simple manner.
Niveaustufe A2: The learner understands the essential content of short and clear announcements and can read simple texts. In addition, the learner can create simple notes, write personal letters and communicate in simple routine situations.
Level B1: The learner understands clear, standard language in the professional field and can follow radio and television programs. The learner can read texts with common everyday or professional language and write simple, coherent texts on familiar topics. Communication on familiar topics is possible without any preparation.
Niveaustufe B2: The learner understands complex arguments and can read articles and reports. In addition, the learner can write clear, detailed texts on a variety of topics in areas of interest and communicate spontaneously and fluently.
Level C1: The learner can follow longer speeches, conversations and television programs without much effort and can read and understand long and complex non-fiction texts. The learner can also express himself clearly and well-structured in writing, as well as articulate fluently and effortlessly and spontaneously.
Niveastufe C2: The learner understands the spoken language without difficulty and can understand all types of text effortlessly. The learner can also express themselves clearly, fluently and in a style appropriate to the respective purpose and can communicate effortlessly in all conversations and discussions. The learner can also keep a conversation going himself.

From many years of experience, we can say that how many teaching units are needed to reach the desired level of knowledge depends very much on the learners' initiative and the general conditions (e.g. how many teaching units can be booked per week).
