Willows. (usc) You have to expend a lot of energy to get back on track in your professional life, even after a long period of unemployment. Six women and one man from the initial 12 participants persevered for nine months and finally passed the exam to qualify as nursing assistants. The remaining participants received a certificate of participation.

This course from the Amberg ISE Language and Education Center took place in Weiden for the first time. The need for nursing staff is great and the career prospects are correspondingly very good.

At the certificate award ceremony, managing director of the Amberg educational institution ISE Roland Domogalla referred to the emergency in nursing. “You are needed!” he emphasized to the newly qualified nurses. His thanks went to the job center as the sponsor of the measure.

Peter Witt, managing director of the Weiden-Neustadt job center, was pleased with the many positive results. It is pleasing that four graduates have already been confirmed. “The future is open to you,” emphasized Witt. As far as he knows, all facilities need nursing staff. Course leader Thomas Klein, who praised the perseverance in this course, emphasized: “Nursing is not a profession, but a calling.”

Stefan Erndt, market and integration team leader at the job center, announced a new edition of this measure in Weiden. It begins on June 12, 2023. According to Erndt, interested parties can apply now to take part in the nursing qualification measure at the Weiden-Neustadt job center or at the ISE language and vocational training center. “Skilled workers from the job center will work to integrate applicants into the job market as quickly as possible,” says Erndt.

This qualification measure was funded/financed 40% by the European Social Fund (ESF+ funds), 20% by state funds as well as the Weiden-Neustadt job center and the ISE educational institution. With the certificate of successfully completed ESF nursing qualification and the associated specialist knowledge, a good basis was created for the one-year training to become a “state-certified nursing assistant” or the three-year training to become a “state-certified nursing assistant”.
