Early in the morning there was already a dense crowd in the rooms of the ISE language and vocational training center, where 28 companies and social institutions such as Diakonie, AWO Antonius Senior Citizens Center, Wallmenichhaus Sisterhood from the BRK and Caritas presented themselves on two floors. Regional coordinator Vera Rohrer from the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees provided information about various funding opportunities for immigrants.
As spokesman for the organizing education and work working group, Rainer Liermann, team leader in employment placement at the Amberg-Sulzbach job center, emphasized at the opening of the trade fair the goal of bringing employers, employees and job seekers together and drawing attention to the diverse qualification opportunities. If there is enough response, Liermann is thinking about a new edition next year. Manfred Tröppl, head of the job center, and Stefanie Neufeld, manager of the local employment agency, were pleased with the lively response to the start of the trade fair.
ISE education coordinator Peter Blendowski referred to ISE's long-standing work as a language and vocational training center. It was founded in 1989. The ISE nursing school opened in 2009. The educational alliance of Kolping, VAZ, Eckert Schools and ISE has been offering training, retraining, qualifications and language courses for adults and young people for over 30 years. “Together we have overcome several waves of migration and high unemployment and thereby contributed to social peace and strengthening the regional economy,” said Blendowski.
He recalled the wave of emigrants from the former Soviet Union in the late 1980s and early 1990s, the influx from the former GDR during reunification, the wave of refugees from the Arab states and now most recently the wave of Ukrainian refugees. According to Blendowski, ISE alone has already provided linguistic and professional qualifications to over 20,000 people from Germany and all over the world in its two schools.
To make contact easier if communication problems occurred, ISE provided several interpreters. The series of lectures in the ISE rooms provided important information for potential retrainees, job seekers and employers. Companies that want to have their foreign employees trained linguistically and professionally were able to get advice directly at the stand of the Federal Office, the Employment Agency and the Job Center.
Overall, the expectations of the trade fair organizers and the exhibitors were exceeded, it was concluded.
