The ISE Language and Vocational Training Center has been working with the respective employment agencies, job centers and the regional economy in the Amberg-Sulzbach and Schwandorf area since 1989 in the areas of training, further education and training as well as job placement.
Offer of goods and services provided by the training company (106 units)
- Provide customers with orientation about the company's product range
- Structure the product area in which training takes place into product groups with different items and types and classify them into the company's product range
- Use information sources to acquire knowledge about goods
Presentation of goods and advertising measures (106 units)
- Develop and implement concepts for an appealing product presentation, taking into account the operational, sales and storage format, product range and target group, general rules for product presentation and product placement as well as sales psychology findings.
- Select offer locations according to sales-promoting aspects and place goods using standard decorative materials and present them in a sales-promoting manner
Price calculation (106 UE)
- Carry out calculations for procurement and price calculations
- Carry out price labeling within the framework of operational and legal requirements
- Consider pricing options when calculating
Inventory control (106 UE)
- Record goods movements accurately and promptly in the merchandise management system, using information systems and complying with security requirements
- Participate in controlling inventory and sales by using the merchandise management system
- Check receipts and take appropriate steps if there are discrepancies
Receiving and storing goods (106 UE)
- Check the quantity of goods and check the packaging for transport damage and, if necessary, take normal operational measures
- Check goods receipts and shipping documents taking operational requirements into account

Cash register service area (106 UE)
- Prepare and operate the cash register in accordance with the company cashier instructions
- assess the checkout area from an ergonomic point of view and adapt your own behavior accordingly
- Process cash and non-cash payments, taking into account discounts and taking precautionary measures when accepting the means of payment
Environmental protection (108 UE)
- Use opportunities for economical and environmentally friendly use of energy and materials
Retail Processes (106 UE)
- Present the organization, services and tasks along the value chain of the training company
- Classify purchasing, product range design, logistical processes and sales as core retail processes in the value chain, justify interactions, assess connections and interfaces, identify weak points and sources of error and suggest improvements to process design
Ensuring the presence of goods (102 UE)
- Check incoming goods in compliance with legal regulations and operational requirements, record them using the operational information system and initiate standard company measures in the event of deviations
- Document any defects that are apparent upon receipt of the goods in compliance with the legal and standard company regulations upon receipt of the goods
Advising customers (102 units)
- Conduct sales and consultation discussions in a success-oriented manner and apply in-depth knowledge of a product area with at least two product groups
- Inform customers about quality and price-determining features as well as sustainability-related features and possible uses of the items and varieties

- apply in-depth knowledge of a product area with at least two product groups in the consultation, while representing the company's performance promises to customers

Procurement of goods (106 UE)
- Determine the goods requirements for the training range, taking into account key figures from the merchandise management system and taking future sales-relevant events into account

- Analyze inventory and sales figures and use corresponding statistics

- Analyze and assess the market situation at the location with particular consideration of economic and regional aspects
- Evaluate the market presence of competitors in stationary retail and online retail and develop and justify proposals for marketing measures, taking into account competition law requirements
Online trading (106 UE)
- Comply with legal regulations when managing an online shop
- Consider interactions between online trading and stationary sales

- Derive action plans for personnel development from operational goals, check goal achievement and make adjustments

- present the essential content and components of the training contract, identify rights and obligations from the training contract and describe the tasks of those involved in the dual system

Important information:
- During the training, practical instruction takes place in the training supermarket of the Kolping Educational Center (approx. 42 units).
- Otherwise, there will be further practical content, including:
- Dealing with the cash register system including scanners and other work equipment (approx. 16 lessons).
- Company visits (supermarkets, trading companies)
- Online exercises and simulation games for the virtual supermarket
(ca. 16 EU)
- The costs of the measures are explained in the training contract.
- There are no costs for holders of an education voucher.
- Literature provided as part of the cost of the measure: retail course and workbook, lecturers' scripts.
- Costs for the professional clothing required to carry out the internship will be covered by ISE.
- The total number of hours is 3494 (2734 teaching hours and 760 internship hours), 1 teaching unit (UE) contains 45 minutes each, 1 internship unit (PE) contains 60 minutes each.
- Entry requirements are the secondary school leaving certificate, the aptitude interview and the aptitude test.
- The reskilling participants receive an ISE certificate, and upon successful completion of the final examination by the IHK, they will obtain an IHK certificate with a professional qualification.
Certification: The ISE Language and Vocational Training Center is an approved provider under employment promotion law. Approved by the expert body of TÜV Rheinland Cert GmbH. The measure is certified by QUACERT Society for the Certification of Quality Management Systems mbH. Both certification bodies accredited by the German Accreditation Body (DAkkS).
