For the first time from September 21, 2015, the ISE Language and Vocational Training Center Amberg is offering interested asylum seekers retraining to become a state-recognized warehouse clerk. In addition to the necessary theoretical knowledge for the training as a warehouse specialist, the participants also take part in a job-related German course with a direct career reference for warehouse logistics professions in order to learn the German language and typical technical terms in warehouse management. As part of the retraining, the participants complete forklift training and an internship lasting approximately 3 months. Knowledge transfer takes place, among other things, in the core subjects of logistical processes, economic and social processes, specialist arithmetic, electronic data processing and English. The chances of getting a job in the warehouse professions in company practice are still very good. Companies are increasingly relying on trained specialists to provide high-quality work – the need for unskilled workers, however, is constantly decreasing. Retraining represents a unique opportunity for all applicants to learn a solid apprenticeship. The retraining has been certified by TÜV Rheinland. If the personal requirements are met, funding can be granted by issuing an education voucher from the employment agency or job center. Employers can have their unskilled or non-professional employees qualified under the WeGebAU program. Ask your employment agent or the employer service team!
Other important information:
- During the training, practical instructions take place in the Loxxess warehouse, Jubatus Allee 6, 92263 Ebermannsdorf.
- The forklift training takes place over 3 to 5 days of instruction at the traffic training center in Amberg.
- The costs of the measures are explained in the training contract. There are no costs for holders of an education voucher.
- Literature provided as part of the cost of the measure: Logistical processes, course and workbook, specialist arithmetic, economic and social processes.
- Costs for the professional clothing required to carry out the internship will be covered by ISE.
- The entry requirement is the secondary school leaving certificate, the aptitude interview and the aptitude test.
- The reskilling participants receive an ISE certificate, and upon successful completion of the final examination by the IHK, they will obtain an IHK certificate with a professional qualification.
