The ISE language and vocational training center is starting to qualify as a nursing assistant in retirement homes or outpatient care services for job seekers in cooperation with the AM-AS job center and with the European Social Fund (ESF) on September 15th, 2021 the tenth project with various qualification modules from the profession of geriatric nurse, which was funded by the European Social Fund is co-financed.
The European Social Funds (ESF) in Bavaria has made the funding information more attractive for projects in the area of qualification for the long-term unemployed and the unemployed. The content of the funded actions is designed so that unemployed people who became unemployed during the Corona epidemic from March 2020 can now also take part in the measures.
You can carry out your own measures for them. In appropriate cases, “mixed” qualifications between SGB II and SGB III groups are possible. In addition, the duration of the qualification was adjusted and the minimum and maximum number of participants was reduced.
The qualification can be done either in our branch at Kaiser-Ludwig-Ring 9 in Amberg or at Christian-Seltmann-Str. 21 will take place in Weiden.
We hear from various sources and politicians that the need for nursing places will increase significantly in the next few years. People are getting older and older. There are comparatively fewer children and young people. This demographic change means that the need for nursing specialists and assistants is also increasing, and also due to the ongoing Corona pandemic. This is proven by reports from many different institutions.
Nursing staff is also currently being sought in the Amberg-Sulzbach region. The need here will also increase in the next few years. This measure increases your chance of gaining a foothold in the nursing sector and getting to know an interesting area of work in the social sector.
The qualification modules that you will get to know intensively as part of this course are based on the career profile of geriatric nurse.
Suitability assessment:
Before the start of the measures, an aptitude interview with the employment agent takes place at the job center or employment agency. At the customer's request, a personal interview with the educational provider can then be arranged.
The qualification is divided into several sections:
Orientation phase:
In the orientation phase, after aptitude assessment, various key qualifications and skills are taught:
- Competency training
- Imparting key qualifications
- Intensive application training (self-marketing strategies)
- EDV Basic Training
Qualification module 1: “Promote and restore health and support self-determined living and self-care”
Qualification goal:
The participants see the ability of people in need of care to move as an important prerequisite for their independence and quality of life. They support these people with measures to maintain and promote mobility as well as with individual measures that cannot be carried out independently due to minor movement restrictions.
Qualification module 2: “Design of work and relationship processes and support in a self-determined lifestyle”
Qualification goal:
The participants support people in need of care with minor support needs with food and fluid intake. You adapt the necessary support services to your performance
of these people and take their wishes and habits into account. They understand that carefully regulated food and fluid intake plays an important role in structuring the daily routine and in maintaining the health and quality of life of people in need of care. The participants also understand the importance of care documentation and participate in quality assurance of care standards.
Qualification module 3: “Assistance with special care needs and design of work and relationship processes”
Qualification goal:
The participants carry out diagnostic and therapeutic measures according to medical prescription and delegation under supervision. You assist the nursing staff in accompanying and caring for people in need of care in all stages of life. They recognize the need for continuous professional development. They accompany people in need of care in their lives, taking their individual needs into account.
