On the mountain. (usc) With a good deal of perseverance, six men and two women with the certificate “Skilled in Warehouse Logistics” acquired the “driving license for a second professional life”. They went to school at the ISE educational institute for two years with financial support from the employment agency. Your hard work has paid off because the career opportunities that have now opened up are very good.
Because graduates have good opportunities for advancement up to the level of master logistics and studying, as was heard when the certificates were awarded. The retraining included imparting specialist knowledge in the examination subjects of logistical processes, quality assurance and rational goods handling as well as economics and social studies. In two internship sections lasting a total of around 5.5 months, the participants were able to implement, test and deepen the theoretical knowledge they had acquired in practice.
According to ISE Managing Director Peter Blendowski, the graduates can look back with pride on what they have achieved. He was optimistic about the professional future of the course participants. Johann Schmalzl from the IHK also underlined this by pointing out that the first graduates of this measure already had a job. According to Schmalzl, the warehouse logistics specialist has good prospects. As far as he knows, there are far more vacancies than skilled workers in this professional area in Bavaria. Schmalzl, who had contact with ISE for almost 30 years and is about to enter his well-deserved retirement, took the opportunity to recognize ISE as a high-performing educational institution. He thanked the employment agency for supporting the retraining measure. “This is money well spent,” he emphasized.
The employment agency team leader at the Amberg Employment Agency, Stefanie Bauer, said: “Learning is the best capital for the future”. In her statement, she also referred to the good local job market and concluded by quoting Benjamin Franklin: “Investing in knowledge brings the best interest.” Managing director and lecturer Eva Weber was enthusiastic about the team spirit, hard work and high motivation of the participants. “I am sure that the employers in the region will get good people with them,” he concluded.
Course leader Richard Kirschner found warm words of appreciation for the achievements in the retraining group and drew attention to further training opportunities in Regensburg. The group's thanks went to him, for which he was on duty for almost 24 hours, their spokesman noted gratefully.
